A surrealistic fairy tale about the audacity to spread your wings and fly away.
The story of the seagull Maarten is told with almost lifelike seagull-puppets and objects. Maarten lives in a sandy cabin, with his father, mother, baby sister and two very old, ever complaining seagulls. Everyday life is as usual, but Maarten has been feeling strange butterflies in his stomach lately. He wants to fly as high as can be.
