After their previous success De Grieken, DudaPaiva Company is back with a new performance about mystical and hilarious characters from Greek mythology. Monsters! Is about four mythological creatures, who were turned half-man, half-beast through intervention by the gods: the Minotaur, Queen Lamia, Chiron the Centaur and the Harpy.
These beings of water, air, earth and fire share their stories and sometimes discuss their problems with the viewers. They might ask the children in the audience for assistance – but beware! Sometimes, the most terrifying beast will be the one with a heart of gold, and the sweet old lady will turn out to be a wicked witch. What you see is not always what you get, so think twice before you judge people by their looks!
The monsters are kept under control by the young hero Narcissus, but in the constant struggle between man and beast, he had better be careful that the roles aren’t reversed, and that he doesn’t become the one who has to be tamed.
