In Een vorig leven, Ton Tellegen creates an image of the little town he grew up in. Then he shows the people who lived there. People like Jacob Laagwater, who worked in the chalk factory and read excerpts from the Bible out loud, only they were quite different from any actual Biblical texts. People like Leen -Goddamnit- Hellevoet, whom no one had ever seen being anything other than angry. People like Kreupel, who was always after one thing: having his wishes be different from everyone else’s.
After a successful collaboration in De Trein naar Pavlovsk (Parade 2014), Tellegen wrote this text especially for Thomas, Sacha en Jos. It came out as a novel in 2015.
